Compare your original steering wheel with the product images. This version is intended for the pre-Highland / pre-Juniper steering-wheel design.
Remove dust, skin oils, protectant and cleaning residue from the original steering-wheel trim and allow it to dry.
Position the carbon piece without removing the adhesive liner and confirm scroll-wheel, airbag and trim alignment.
Remove the backing only after the correct installation position and orientation have been confirmed.
Carefully align the scroll-wheel openings and lower section, then apply even pressure across the entire trim piece.
Verify that both scroll wheels, horn area and all steering controls operate normally after installation.
This product installs over the visible factory trim. The steering wheel, airbag cover, horn assembly and scroll wheels remain in the vehicle during installation.
Model 3 Highland and Model Y Juniper use a different steering-wheel trim design. Select a dedicated Highland / Juniper steering-wheel trim product instead of this legacy Model 3 / Model Y version.
