ABS Side Skirts Split Design for Tesla Model Y Juniper
ABS Side Skirts Split Design for Tesla Model Y Juniper
ABS Split-Design Side Skirts for Tesla Model Y Juniper 2025.03+
Give your Model Y Juniper a lower, wider and more performance-focused side profile with vehicle-specific ABS side skirts featuring a practical two-piece-per-side construction and secure screw-mounted installation.
Lower, Sportier Side Profile
Extends the lower rocker line outward and downward to give the Juniper a more planted visual stance from both side and three-quarter views.
4-Piece Split Construction
Each side is formed from two sections that connect together before installation, making the long side-skirt assembly easier to transport, position and replace section-by-section if needed.
Secure Screw Installation
Included self-tapping screws secure the skirts to the lower black plastic rocker panel instead of relying on adhesive tape as the primary retention method.
Why These Juniper Side Skirts Stand Out
Designed around the lower rocker profile of the refreshed Model Y Juniper rather than adapted from a pre-refresh Model Y side skirt.
Lightweight ABS construction provides a practical balance of rigidity, impact resistance and controlled flexibility for an exterior lower-body component.
Two sections per side are easier to package and maneuver than a single extra-long molding, while the assembled skirt still forms a continuous side profile.
The extended lower edge is shaped to guide airflow along the vehicle's side while creating a more defined aerodynamic visual line.
Because each side uses separate front and rear sections, localized damage does not necessarily require replacing one single full-length molded piece.
Permanent Mechanical Retention
Unlike tape-only exterior skirts, this version is designed to be mechanically secured with self-tapping screws into the vehicle's lower plastic rocker panel. Installation therefore requires drilling and should be considered a permanent modification to that plastic panel.
Four Finish Options
Glossy Black
High-gloss black surfaces give the lower body a deeper, more reflective performance-style finish.
Matte Black
A lower-reflection finish for a stealthier look that blends naturally with dark lower-body trim.
Glossy Carbon Fiber Texture
Gloss-finished carbon-look surface for a more technical visual style without the cost of genuine carbon fiber.
Matte Carbon Fiber Texture
A subdued carbon-look pattern with less reflection for a more understated motorsport-inspired appearance.
Two Sections Per Side
Front and rear sections align at a dedicated connection point and are fastened together before the complete side assembly is mounted to the car.
Glossy Carbon Fiber Texture and Matte Carbon Fiber Texture are patterned finishes applied to the ABS side skirts. The structural material remains automotive-grade ABS.
Screw-Mounted Installation
Lay the two matching sections for one side on a clean, protected surface and align their central connection points.
Turn the aligned sections over and use the supplied short screws at the connection points to create one complete side skirt.
Assemble the second pair in the same way before bringing either completed skirt to the vehicle.
Hold each completed side skirt against the lower body and confirm the front and rear ends sit correctly near the corresponding wheel arches.
Once alignment is confirmed, drive the supplied self-tapping screws through the mounting points and into the vehicle's lower black plastic rocker panel.
Confirm that all screws are properly seated, the center joins are secure and neither skirt can move independently before driving.
This current product version is not a tape-only installation. The supplied self-tapping screws mechanically secure the side skirts through the lower black plastic rocker panel. Test-fit both sides carefully before making any holes.
The manufacturer lists an approximate ground-clearance reduction of only 0.5 cm (0.2 in), but extra care is still recommended around steep ramps, tall curbs and uneven surfaces.
Current manufacturer guidance states that the skirts can be installed with compatible mud flaps. Slight positioning adjustment may be necessary to preserve clearance around the mud-flap mounting area.

Quick Answers
Which Tesla does this side skirt fit? +
It is designed specifically for Tesla Model Y Juniper 2025.03+.
Will it fit a 2020–2024 Model Y? +
No. The pre-Juniper Model Y uses a different lower-body profile. This version is molded specifically for the refreshed Juniper body.
How many pieces are included? +
There are four main ABS sections — two for the left side and two for the right side. Each pair is assembled into one complete side skirt before installation.
Does installation require drilling? +
Yes. The current product version requires self-tapping screws to be installed through the side skirts and into the lower black plastic rocker panel.
Does it install with double-sided tape? +
The current manufacturer installation method uses mechanical screw retention rather than adhesive tape as the primary mounting system.
Do I need to drill into metal body panels? +
Current installation instructions specify fastening into the lower black plastic rocker panel. They do not instruct drilling into painted exterior metal body panels.
Are the carbon fiber versions real carbon fiber? +
No. Both carbon-style options are carbon fiber texture finishes on automotive-grade ABS. They are not genuine carbon-fiber components.
Which colors are available? +
Current options are Glossy Black, Matte Black, Glossy Carbon Fiber Texture and Matte Carbon Fiber Texture.
Will the side skirts reduce ground clearance? +
Yes. The manufacturer lists an approximate reduction of 0.5 cm (0.2 in). Use additional care around curbs, ramps and uneven road surfaces.
Can I keep my mud flaps? +
Yes, according to the current manufacturer guidance. Slight positioning adjustment may be required depending on the specific mud-flap design.
Should I test-fit before installing the screws? +
Yes. Assemble both sides and confirm complete alignment with the front and rear wheel-arch areas before making any holes in the rocker-panel plastic.
How should I maintain the side skirts? +
Wash with pH-neutral automotive soap and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid directing a pressure washer extremely close to seams or edges, and periodically inspect the mounting screws for proper tightness.
Do the side skirts improve aerodynamic performance? +
Their lower-body shape is designed with side airflow management in mind, but no independent drag, downforce or range-improvement data is currently published. They should therefore be treated primarily as a styling and lower-body aerodynamic design upgrade.
